Brown Fused Alumina is produced by melting bauxite in an electric arc furnace at high temperatures. The resulting product is of a brown color and features high hardness and extreme toughness. It is highly temperature resistant, resistant to erosion, mechanically strong, and thermally stable, making it a suitable raw material for the production of shaped refractories.

Brown Aluminum Oxide is produced through the fusion of premium raw materials in furnaces with 3500 KVA of power. Its various applications include abrasive work in grinding, polishing, and sandblasting, as well as refractory material. It's available in both F and P grades and can be found in either a macro or micro powder form.

While its hardness and abrasive capabilities are lower than those of diamond, boron carbide, and silicon carbide, aluminum oxide is still a widely used choice for grinding ferrous materials, and for finishing tough, hard materials.

Features:

Brown corundum was used as sandblasting surface treatment, due to its relatively high density, through which less dust is created in the process of sandblasting. This improves operator visibility and provides health and safety for operators.

Unlike traditional abrasive materials, brown corundum is a pure non-toxic mineral, which is free of substances like harmful free silicon, toxic heavy metals, or radioactive pollutants, all of which may lead to silicosis. Technical Parameters:

The chemical constitution of Al2O3 is ≥96.3%, SiO2 is ≤1.4%, Fe2O3 is ≤0.21%, TiO2 is ≤1.5%. And its physical properties are colour is brown, Mohs hardness as 9 and true density is 3.9 g/cm3; bulk density is 1.60~1.95g/cm3. Lastly, its Ig-Loss is ≤0.09%.
